In contrast to the promotional releases, "Wicked Game" is song # 10 instead of # 7. Unfortunately the given track lengths on the backcover of the CD don't consider this swap, so the given track lengths there don't fit to the actual songs. The track length information given above for each song is correct.

Amelia Mary Earhart (b. 1897, disappeared in 1937) was a famous American aviator, see http://www.ameliaearhart.com for details.

DATE / COUNTRY:

TRACKS:

3:30 Sail On
4:38 I Wanna Be Your Light

RELEASES:
CD Bermuda
3 tracks

NOTES:
Heather Nova's Bermuda Sloop CD "Together As One EP" could be bought locally on Bermuda. Also, heathernova.net and heathernova.de had been officially authorised to sell the CD outside of Bermuda. Now the CD is sold-out. All proceeds went to the "Bermuda Sloop Foundation" and ultimately to the youth of Bermuda.

The CD has three songs: 1) "Together As One", a special song for the Bermuda Sloop Foundation to help them raise funds to build the sloop ship "Spirit Of Bermuda". This song was earlier titled "Bermuda Sloop Song". This song was already performed by Heather and native Bermudian David Roache as a duet on May 14, 2005 on Bermuda. 2) "Sail On", a poem written by Heather's father, A. John Frith, that Heather Nova put to music. 3) "I Wanna Be Your Light" live from London, previously released on the Union Chapel DVD.

Kwame Harris of Paget Primary and Laurin Davis of Elliot Primary in Bermuda, both of whom are ten years old, were approached to sing part of the chorus. Marcus Smith, who is nine and attends Prospect Primary in Bermuda, also sang in the chorus. David Roache entered and won the Island wide competition for a local male to sing the harmony on "Together as One".

Some video footage (length: 3.25) with a live performance of Heather Nova (recorded aboard "Amistad" on May 14, 2005) was added (the "Together As One" video clip).

The cover artwork contains a 1831 painting by John Lynn of a Bermuda Sloop ship.

RELEASE:
CD Germany SonyBMG 88697 39781 2
12 tracks, 42:28 minutes

NOTES:
The working title for this album was "Dark Horse Heat".

Originally, the album was planned to be released without the song "Always Christmas", but with a bonus live CD from the Intimate evening concert in Groningen (March 19, 2006). As "Always Christmas" was added to the album, the bonus CD was abandoned. The album comes at some online stores with bonus songs from that concert, though. For example, at musicload.de, the live songs "This Body" (3:55) and "You Left Me A Song" (3:23) were added, and at iTunes Germany, the album includes the live song "All I Need" (4:28).

The songs "Ride" and "Maybe Tomorrow" were uploaded to Heather's myspace site already a few days before the physical release of the album.

The songs "Ride" and "Always Christmas" were made available online to radio stations as electronic promotional single.

For residents outside Germany, Austria or Switzerland, the album can also be bought (as a download, zip file, 192 kbps) on Heather Nova's own website (heathernova.com). The download there includes "Always Christmas", although otherwise announced, and a PDF file with the artwork.

In the artwork of the album, the songs were wrongly numbered. In reality, "Out On A Limb" is song number four, and "Every Soldier Is A Mother's Son" is song number five. On later copies, this mistake was corrected.

On January 1, 2010, Heather has uploaded on ilike.com/artist/Heather+Nova the "Nobel Peace remix" (3:48) for her song "Every Soldier Is A Mother's Son".

On musicload.de/.at/.ch, the album comes with a bonus track "He's Spiritual" (4:07).

The song "Higher Ground" was already released in 2007 on the "Waves Of Sound" sampler. Both album (4:16) and single version (3:46) are different to the "Waves Of Sound" version (4:10). The album version of "Higher Ground" (4:16) was already available at http://www.myspace.com/heathernova and http://www.ilike.com/artist/Heather+Nova since April 13, 2011. The video with the single version was posted by Heather Nova on youtube.com on April 29, 2011. The album and single versions are also on the "Higher Ground" single, released May 13, 2011.

The final version of "Save A Little Piece Of Tomorrow" (4:56) was already available at http://www.pledgemusic.com/widgets/1037 for signing up or for Facebook sharing Heather Nova since March 18, 2011. Accidently, a version of the song with lower sound quality showed up there on March 17, 2011, but it was deleted the next day and replaced with the final version. An early demo version (4:28) was exclusively uploaded on April 20, 2011, for the pledgers of the new album on http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/heathernova.

The songs "Save A Little Piece Of Tomorrow", "Everything Changes", and "Turn The Compass Round" were already sung during the summer and fall 2010 tours. The song "Burning To Love" was already sung during the fall 2010 tour. The songs "Beautiful Ride" and "Higher Ground" were already sung during the spring 2011 promo tour.
